On the 17th October 2026, a group gathered to explore how Alpha can create a space to invite people to explore faith, life and meaning in their community. Our diverse group of parishioners, community members and clergy engaged in a training session that explored why you would run Alpha, how to run Alpha and some of the best practices. We then took part in a simulated session of Alpha to put into practice what we learnt.
It was a fun and engaging few hours together. What was clear across all was a desire to bring people into our Church and create spaces where there is no pressure, where they feel welcome and like they belong.
We are excited to see how these leaders bring Alpha into their communities and to hear hopeful stories about people exploring faith through Alpha. If you are interested in what Alpha is, you can read more about it on their website.
