The Opportunity.
Behold & Resound is open to anyone who would like to learn more about the theology, principles and practice of our Church's liturgical tradition. You do not need to possess any prior experience or qualifications to attend.
Step into the heart of the Church’s liturgical tradition and discover how to create and foster the kind of parish worship that offers a true encounter with Christ that leads to discipleship.
We invite all musicians, choir members, and liturgy teams to explore how intentional planning and resourcing can shape powerful experiences of prayer that fosters full, conscious, and active participation.
This workshop will unpack the principles of sacred worship, the role of beauty in drawing hearts to God, and practical steps to renew and strengthen the liturgical life of your parish.
We will also reflect on the principles of sacred music, the balance of silence and song, and practical ways to strengthen he musical life of your parish with beauty, authenticity, and pastoral sensitivity.

Workshop Facilitators
Behold & Resound will be facilitated by two local liturgical leaders in the Archdiocese.
Jaki Kane is Director of Music at St Christopher’s Cathedral, and conducts the choir for the main liturgical services.
Jaki teaches piano and music theory, and she has been involved with parish liturgies since the age of 17, playing the organ and piano, and directing children’s and adult choirs.
She has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in Musicology, with her research focused on Indigenous music of the Bundjalung people. Jaki has a particular interest in sacred music, especially chant. She also sings with and is manager of the baroque music group the Canberra Bach Ensemble.
Christian Nobleza is the Liturgy and Christian Unity Animator for the Archdiocese, and works as part of the Synodal Evangelisation Team within the Archbishop’s Office for Evangelisation.
He holds over 20 years experience working in ministry roles across parish, deanery, diocesan, education and religious order contexts both here in Australia and internationally.
Prior to his arrival into the Archdiocese, Christian lived and worked at part of a Benedictine community in the south of England, where he grew in his appreciation for the rhythm of prayer and the art of shaping spaces for Liturgy and worship.
